How does a Dyrt Alert work? Follow
First you decide when and where you'd like to camp (dates and length of stay) and then based on the time frame of your arrival date (how far out it is), you will be offered scan options for your chosen campground(s). You are allowed to choose up to 5 campgrounds in that similar area. Our system will pull the campgrounds that are close to your original criteria and those will be the only options for that scan. At this time, only rec.gov campgrounds are offered.
Not all scan options are for all situations, so based on the amount of time from the scan start date to the date you need the campsite and the frequency at which you'd like our system to scan for openings will determine which scan level is right for you. Our system will tell you which choices you may purchase based on these details. If an "option" is greyed out, then it doesn't meet the criteria of your needs and will not be available as a choice.
You'll choose the appropriate option, then enter your cell phone number (you must be able to receive text message alerts to a cell phone - this does not work with a land line) and then you'll submit payment. This will require a credit card - we do not take Paypal, GooglePay, ApplePay etc. That alert will scan from the time you pay through the desired arrival date. If an opening is found at any of the chosen campground options (you are allowed up to 5 within the same area), it will send you a text about the opening it has found and it's then your responsibility to book the campsite, if desired.
These scans do not book the listing for you - they alert you of availability based on your original criteria. If the scan finds your choice and offers it to you, it will still continue to monitor for that scan until the date of arrival. Once that date has come, the scan will expire automatically.
