What if I want to change the driving route to my destination? Can I do that with Road Trip Maps? Follow
Sometimes you just want to drive a different way, and that's part of the adventure!
If you want to change or modify your route from a pre-existing trip, use the bottom drawer to access your Trip Details screen. From this screen, you can choose to replace a new campground, add a fuel stop, or re-organize your stops.
To reorganize existing stops, hold the three bar button to drag stops to a new order. Once finished, select the Update My Trip button for your new route.
While Road Trip Maps and The Dyrt are great tools for planning the logistics of the trip and where to camp, we are not a navigation tool, which is why we offer an advanced option to Export to Google Maps. To export your trip, select the Trip Options detail screen located to the right of the trip name. Under Trip Options, select Export to Google Maps. Then, once exported to Google Maps, you can drag and drop your route for more advanced navigation options.
Please note: Any avoidances you have set in Road Trip Maps will not translate to Google Maps if you export. You will have to update your Google Map avoidances set inside your Google settings to reflect the same ones or Google may take you on routes that don't meet your needs for this trip.
