It's best to do your planning via a single method (via the app or website) so that you have all the options you need.

If you begin planning on one and pickup on another (ie: begin on the app and finish on the web) there may be subtle differences to the options available for route planning. All trip updates will carry over between the app and the website, but you may find some tools look different between the app and the web.
